North 42 Degrees Estate Winery welcomes you to discover our passion for wine making, the natural beauty of our surroundings and our warm southern hospitality. As third generation Canadian farmers from European heritage, wine flows deep within our ancestral roots which lends us the skills and love for wine needed for the task of wine growing. Visit us on the 42nd parallel amidst Carolinian forests and Lake Erie breezes and enjoy our fine wines.
At North 42 Degrees we bring you fine wines made from grapes grown in natural rain-fed vineyards in Canada’s southernmost terroirs. Harvested and made into wine with love and care for you to enjoy with food and friends. We offer tastings of these wines and they are available daily from 11-6pm. A wine specialist will assist you with the perfect wine selection for yourself, to bring to a dinner party, or as a gift for someone special.
The farm has a long history dating back to the American Revolution when it was granted to a United Empire Loyalist from Ohio. The land has remained in agricultural production ever since. Martin and Suzanne planted the vines in 2007 after preparing the field in 2006 taking this centuries-old to the next stage in its long history of farm production.
Situated just outside the quaint hamlet of Colchester, North 42° welcomes guests from all over the world and treats them like family (…and don’t forget to put a pin in our map to mark where you are from!). Feel free to browse the gardens and grounds and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. We offer tours of our production facility, in the vineyards and in coordination with Trolley Tours and Windsor Eats tours around southern Ontario’s wine country.
