RIESLING, 2020 VQA

Description

Riesling gets a bad rap but this varietal truly is the King of Grapes.  It plays well with a plethora of foods.  The 2020 North 42 Riesling is no exception.  It is a rock star to food!  Harvested in late October, this grape enjoyed the warm sun of  long autumn and developed some wonderful characteristics.  It exhibits notes of fresh green apple intertwined with  orange blossoms, Meyer lemon, a whisper of petrol and good minerality.  That wet stone minerality promises  great aging potential.   This Lake Erie North Shore Riesling grown on our home vineyard has a lengthy finish with racy acidity and mineral edginess. This playful wine is the perfect accompaniment for creating everyday memories.

Our perfect pairing, albeit cliché, a breaded pork chop with potato pancakes and coleslaw!  No seriously this is one versatile white wine and it pairs wonderfully with salads, cheeses, fish. ribs and fried chicken.
