Come discover your passion, expand your creativity and understanding of the art of Pączki making. You’ll gain practical knowledge as well as hands-on experience making the perfect dough, the secrets forming the donuts, and all about fillings.
Pączki are donuts that were originally developed hundreds of years ago in Poland to use up all the rich ingredients that were considered off-limits during the fasting period of Lent: namely butter, sugar, oil and milk.
In this interactive class you’ll learn to make traditional Pączki using Suzanne’s family recipe that has been passed on for 4 generations. You’ll learn to knead and roll the dough, then try your hand at shaping the Pączki freeform and of course you’ll get to fill them. We’ll show you how to make some traditional fillings like custardand prune. You’ll also be able to choose from raspberry and black current jam. And the final step, those donuts with be powdered with icing sugar or a sugar glaze. But really why choose?
Oooh and Martin, our owner, has an added surprise, you’ll go home with not only 6 Pączki but something practical so that you can continue your journey in Pączki making.
