Be a winemaker for an evening!

And come learn the science and art of Assemblage.  Assemblage is as old as winemaking itself where blending different varietals of grapes creates a distinct wine with each component adding a level of overall complexity, aroma, acidity and flavour.

At this unique event you will create your own bottle of blended red wine using different cultivars grown in our vineyard.  You’ll sample different blended wines, learn about flavour profiles and how different wines – cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and merlot play with each other when put together.  Our winemaking team, Martin and Leslie, will be on hand to talk about the unique characteristics of each varietal and how each wine was produced.

At the end of the event you’ll have an opportunity to share, taste and critique the wines of other partcipants.  Each newly minted be a  wine maker participant will go home with a 750 ml bottle of wine and a sense of accomplishment.  And as a bonus Martin, our owner and winemake  and Leslie, our sommelier and assistant winemaker will taste each wine and declare a winner for teh best blend!
